a technique of goniotomy. Sent by Prof. Dr. Daljit Singh. I think it has been done by Dr. Jan Worst and the video is probably more than 15 years old.

I am 37 years old. I am under the care of Moorfields Eye Hospital in London UK. The best eye hospital in the UK, if not the World. Goniotomy surgeries have been around since 1938. They are 80% sucesssful, and can be done again if needs be. I had my surgeries done at 4 and 6 months old. I suffer from photophobia. (Sensitivity to light) and Tunnel Vision. With annual checkup’s, it can be monitored and controlled. Coegenitial Glaucoma is hereditary.

oh ok…well, my optomotrist told me that i am developing kerateconus in my right eye, and prescribed glasses and told me to see how i do in them..but i still have blurriness in my right eye which makes sense when you have that..but i also have pain in it, that’s the reason i ask if the specialist would know for sure..im going to go back to my optomitrist anyways

yes he/she can! The dr. probably shined a light at an angle in your eye. He then looked to see if a shadow appeared on the opposite side from which he shined the light. If a shadow appeared, then you have glaucoma. If not, then you are good to go.

i went to a retinal specialist to check my eyes because my optomitrist sent me there to make sure that my eyes are fine..he looked at my eyes with his instrument and said that everything is fine… can a retinal specialist tell if i have glaucoma or not by just looking into my eyes with his instrument? t

i have glaucoma too, and I got 4 surguries in 1 eye.

the vision shouldn’t go down if you do what the doctor tells you to

I wish the two of you the best of luck

I had two Goniotomy operations performed on both my eyes at 4 and 6 months of age. If I hadn’t been born in London, plus the expertise of the Opthamologist I was under. I would have eventually lost sight in both my eyes. I am 36 years of age now.
