I live in the central part of California where Lasik goes for 2500 per eye. Cost will also depend on what type of equipment the doctor is using. If they have the latest and greatest equipment, the doctor will have to charge more due to the cost of the equipment. Whatever you do, dont go with the bargain basement Lasik centers, because you will definately get what you pay for. The worst place to go is to a doc that charges $5k an eye and has only done a few cases. But some of the "discount" centers are hurting because of the economy.
