We are seeking highly qualified applicants for a position as Ophthalmic Assistant. Must have experience in eye care and 2 years in medical office. Must be able to multitask.
This is a challenging opportunity for the right person who is flexible/adaptable to change, and desire to learn new things. Must have good personality and friendly demeanor. Professional etiquette is important. If you have ambition with great motivation, and has a right attitude, then this is for you.
Position includes but not limited to: patient work up, taking history, recording VA, HVF testing, fundus photography, using auto refractor and lensometer, contact lens teaching/ordering, telephone problem triaging, medication refills, assisting doctor, preop/surgical scheduling, and keeping office clean and organized. Experienced in direct patient care with physician supervision. Certified Ophthalmic Assistant (COA) or Technician (COT) is a plus. We will train you if you have some eye or optical experiences.
